After roughly 10 years fishing local waters, Cody built Fin Addict around safe, hands-on trips for families, beginners, groups, and anglers who want a real day on the water.

Holding a U.S. Coast Guard captain's license and maintaining CPR and First Aid certifications, safety and practical instruction are the main focus of every trip. Whether it's your first time holding a rod or you've been fishing for years, Cody makes sure you have the right gear, location, and guidance.

Specializing in beginner-friendly trips, we regularly take families and kids out. The goal is to give you a safe, productive, and comfortable day on the water.

We operate across Southwest Washington, focusing on the Lower Columbia region, Clark County, Lewis County, and Skamania County. Depending on the season and the run, we put the boat where the fish are.

Fisheries include the Columbia River, Willamette River, Lewis River, Cowlitz River, Drano Lake, Lake Merwin, Yale Reservoir, and ocean fisheries.

Your first fish belongs in the story too.

If you have never fished before, you are in the right place. We regularly host beginners and provide straightforward instruction on casting, setting the hook, and reeling in your catch safely.

Families and children are always welcome on board. We adjust the pace of the trip to ensure younger anglers feel comfortable and stay engaged. Life jackets are provided, and we manage all the technical aspects of the gear.

Are beginners welcome?

Absolutely. We specialize in beginner-friendly trips and provide all the instruction you need to have a successful day on the water. No prior fishing experience required.

Are kids and families welcome?

Yes. We frequently take families out on the water. Our trips are designed to be safe, educational, and engaging for all ages. We provide life jackets and adapt our approach for younger anglers.

What should I bring?

Bring weather-appropriate clothing (layers are best), food and drinks, the proper fishing license with required tags, and a cooler for your catch. We supply all fishing gear and equipment.

Do I need my own fishing license?

Guests are responsible for having the proper fishing or shellfish license, tags, endorsements, and catch record cards required for the state, water, and species being targeted. If you are unsure what you need, Cody can point you in the right direction before the trip.

Is gear provided?

Yes. We provide all rods, reels, bait, tackle, and fishing gear. Safety equipment, including life jackets, is also provided on the boat.

Do you clean the fish?

Yes, fish cleaning is included with every trip. We prepare your catch so it is ready for you to take home.

Can guests keep the fish?

Yes, you can keep your legal catch within state regulations. Sturgeon trips are catch and release only to protect the fishery.

How do I book?

Is a deposit required?

Deposit details will be discussed when you book. We accept both cash and card payments.

What happens if weather or river conditions are unsafe?

Safety is the priority. If conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule your trip at no additional charge. We monitor weather and water conditions closely and will communicate any needed changes.
